Immediately following the Wholesome Direct, a showcase video aired for games developed by teams in Latin America - and as a two hour show, it was loaded with confirmed Switch titles.

This is just the confirmed stuff in a sea of Steam pages.

Although down from prior years, the annual Wholesome Direct still featured a fair number of games confirmed for Switch release - including a semi-shadowdrop.

That is gonna take some getting used to.

After filling in some launch gaps last month, the Game Boy library on Nintendo Switch Online has just gotten a Mega boost.

The five Mega Man games for the original Game Boy have all been added to the service in one update tonight. This represents the largest group of additions to the Game Boy library since it launched in February 2023.

RTS and mechs go together like peanut butter and jelly.

I had the opportunity to attend a brief preview event for Grit and Valor - 1949, a tactics-focused RTS coming to Switch in 2025. From UK developer Milky Tea, who previously released HyperBrawl Tournament and Coffin Dodgers, Grit and Valor takes a darker and more serious tone compared to the studio's previous offerings.

As the Embracer Group works to unwind its orgy of acquisitions from 2019-23, Nintendo has picked up one of the pieces.

The company announced in a news release today (PDF) that they have acquired the outstanding shares of Miami, FL based porting studio Shiver Entertainment from Embracer. The company will be made a wholly owned subsidiary of Nintendo once the deal closes, adding 100 employees to Nintendo's western workforce.
